The beginning
So I’ve been asked to write a little blog for all you wonderful teenagers in Lincolnshire!
Getting settled in
The first few weeks of lectures and tutorials will be very much about getting to know your subjects and what is expected of you, so if it seems slow at first don’t worry, it will soon pick up!
Freshers
Freshers week (or fortnight at some Uni’s) is one of the most important weeks of your Uni life.
What about next year…
Although you’ve only been there a few months, you’ll soon find yourself looking for somewhere to live in the Second year.
Top Tips
Get assignments done in plenty of time! Don’t leave them until the last minute or you will start panicking and everything will build up.
Uni’s Out for the Summer!
And so the time for my next Blog is here at last. It’s the holidays, for us Uni students anyway. I personally get a four month summer holiday, so what do I fill all that time with?
Earning Some Cash
This leads me nicely onto a topic which is very relevant amongst young people nowadays, and that is Youth Unemployment.
Life at Work
I have really enjoyed my first few shifts at the restaurant. Everyone is really friendly and I was given a thorough tour of procedures and how to work the equipment and everything else that goes with working front of house in a restaurant. I would recommend restaurant work as it is such a big sector of employment and once you’ve worked in one, then you know kind of what to expect in another. If you do manage to get a job this summer, good luck and I hope you enjoy it as much as I am ...
