How would you explain bullying to someone?
In Lincolnshire we say that bullying is……
Behaviour by an individual or group, usually repeated over time, that intentionally hurts another individual or group either physically or emotionally
Bullying can be
- Physical - kicking, pushing, taking or hiding belongings including money
- Verbal – name calling, teasing, insulting, using verbal threats
- Emotional – looks, social exclusion, spreading rumours, gossiping graffiti
Bullying is not
- Falling out / arguing
- Fighting
- Friends breaking up
Cyber Bullying
Cyber bullying is a ‘method’ of bullying, rather than a ‘type’ of bullying.
