CfBT Careers Guidance Service
CfBT Careers Guidance Service, working in partnership with Lincolnshire County Council, helps young people make and manage their career decisions. We also support unemployed young people 16-18 moving into employment, education or training through the provision of Careers Information, Advice and Guidance Services.
Support and services for young people include:
- Face to face careers guidance by qualified advisers
- Independent careers advice and information on options
- Help and support in applications for further education, higher education, employment and training apprenticeships
- Referrals and signposting to 6th forms, colleges and training and foundation learning providers
- CV and support on job search and interview techniques
- Labour market information
- Referral and signposting to other support agencies if appropriate – including volunteering and organisations offering positive activities
WHO CAN ACCESS CfBT CAREERS GUIDANCE SERVICE?
Any young person (or agency on behalf of the young person) 16-18:
- Not in education, employment or training
- In employment without any form of learning
- Attending a Solutions 4 site
- Elective Home Education/Children missing from education
Young people not in the above groups and who require careers guidance support should refer to their provider of learning (eg: school, academy, college, training provider) who have the responsibility to secure independent and impartial careers guidance for their students
