We know residents want to recycle as much as possible, but that there are plenty of items that cause confusion.
This list, available in the Downloads tab above, shows common items we get asked about as well as saying more about the items listed on your bin tag. It aims to clarify which bin to put items in and why. Just as importantly, other avenues of disposal for re-use, repair or recycling are listed.
If you cannot find your item listed or to arrange any special collections (large items, electricals and medical waste) call the waste hotline 0800 17 44 99. Council waste service details can be found on our Corporate website, where there is also a link to Lincolnshire County Council’s website pages which make it easy to find your nearest Household Waste and Recycling Centres, their opening times and the items accepted.
The SustainNK team supports residents, schools and businesses in any way we can to help save money and the environment. Our dedicated website is designed to help our community take action not just give information. You can also find out about all the projects NKDC has completing or is working on which are reducing our greenhouse gas emissions each year by around 5% and saving £80,000.
