The Consultation is Over..What’s Next??
We would like to thank everyone in Lincolnshire who has shown their support for plain tobacco packaging.
The Government consultation has now closed, and with over 200,000 sign ups throughout the UK, there’s a good chance we could all make a big difference to help protect our children from the dangers of smoking.
WHY PLAIN PACKAGING?
The Plain Packs Protect campaign was created to help raise awareness of the need to reduce the 340,000 children who try smoking for the first time every year and to highlight the truth behind tobacco packaging. Closing the loop on this last legal form of tobacco advertising is vital in protecting future generations from a lifetime of addiction and possible premature death.
This is why smokers and non-smokers both young and old from across the UK have signed up to show their support for plain packs and the standardisation of tobacco packaging.
There are still many more who are not aware of the statistics regarding smoking and children and you can help change this by sharing our plain packs infographic with as many of your friends and family as possible.
You can also write a letter to your local MP so that they are fully aware of your feelings regarding designed tobacco packs.
