Acceptable Behaviour Contracts

Also referred to as an ABC, an Acceptable Behaviour Contract is a written agreement by an individual, the Council, and the police, not to carry on with certain anti-social acts that have been identified. The contract will last for a period of about six months.

Although the contracts are not legally binding, they can be used as evidence if more serious action is taken.
