The Suppliers’ portal on Procurement Lincolnshire’s webpage is a source of useful information for any businesses wishing to sell to public sector organisations.
The portal has been introduced to help develop tendering skills and provide a range of tools which may be used while bidding for contracts from public sector organisations.
Suppliers can find tender writing tips and examples of policies they are expected to follow when selling to local authorities.
Procurement Lincolnshire has recently published “Selling to Procurement Lincolnshire. A Guide for Suppliers”. It covers key points about finding contracts and tendering for work from the public sector. A copy of the guide is available by following this link.
We have also produced “Equality & Diversity. A Guide for Suppliers” explaining how equality issues may be addressed at different stages in the procurement process and presenting the criteria which may be used to assess suppliers regarding E&D.

Meet the Buyers
The Meet the Buyer event is an excellent opportunity for suppliers from Lincolnshire to network with the public sector representatives.
The event is organised to help businesses gather the information which will help to win contracts from the public sector. Suppliers will also have a chance to talk to the right people and explore any opportunities that may be coming up.
The half-day event will take place on Thursday, 9 June at University of Lincoln’s Riseholme Campus. It will be filled with presentations and training sessions designed particularly for suppliers to guide them through the tendering process and explain how public sector procurement works.
The sessions will include information about Selling to the University of Lincoln, North and North East Lincolnshire Councils as well as Procurement Lincolnshire which represents eight local authorities in Lincolnshire. Suppliers will be able to learn where to find contracts and how to access the opportunities.
