Procurement Lincolnshire is offering training to help develop your purchasing knowledge and practical advice on how you can carry out your procurement related work tasks. Our training team visits each partner regularly to ensure those who want to gain a better working knowledge of procurement can do so.
The format of the two hour training sessions covers three main themes:
- A Guide to Procurement Lincolnshire
- A Guide to Procurement
- A Guide to EU Procurement Directives
The training session gives further insight into the information contained in the three pocket guides that Procurement Lincolnshire have produced as a quick reference point for officers. Copies of these booklets can be found in attachments section.
The first part of the sessions looks at the work of Procurement Lincolnshire and how you can take advantage of the professional resources available to you.
The second part gives a general overview of procurement, contract procedure rules and the procurement route to take depending on the contract value.
The final part of the session looks at the more complex area of EU procurement, procedures and timescales and why they have to be followed.
