Procurement Cards
The Government Procurement Card is one the fastest and easiest ways for you to make savings. With no need to create time consuming purchase orders you can both save your work-time and make process savings.
You can use them in a similar manner to credit cards, and are only for use when making business purchases. Using them simplifies the purchasing process and reduces internal costs.
Some of the benefits include:
- No need to raise a requisition
- No need to raise a Purchase Order
- No invoice to pay
- No suppliers chasing up outstanding invoices
- Lower imprest / petty cash processes
- Purchases over the phone/ internet/ in the shop
- Ease of use. Eg. Train tickets; Amazon; TV licenses; School trips; subscriptions
Application Process
If you are interested in applying for a Procurement card you will need to ensure:
- You work for one of Lincolnshire’s local authorities
- You have authorisation from your line manager and/or budget holder
- You have completed the authorisation form and application form
