Minibuses - Section 19 Permits

If a minibus is used solely for non-commercial purposes, and is operated for the benefit of the community, the organisation that uses the vehicle may apply for a Section 19 Permit. Possession of the permit will authorise the organisation to use a minibus without an Operator’s Licence and without the need to employ a full time Transport Manager.

LCC, along with other bodies such as The Scout Association and Age Concern are permitted to issue Section 19 permits to groups which are connected to the umbrella organisation, on behalf of the area’s Traffic commissioner who is based in Eastbourne.
