In total there are five ‘Source’ sites Derbyshire, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire, Nottinghamshire and Rutland. These Source portals have been created with funding from the East Midlands Improvement and Efficiency Partnership to bring buyers and suppliers together. One of the key objectives is to make it easier for businesses to find out about new sources of potential revenue and, therefore, enable them to grow and develop to the benefit the local economy.
Advertising on Source Lincolnshire is completely free (for both buyers and suppliers), so can be used for every contract opportunity no matter how big or small. Anyone can add a contract by simply clicking ‘Submit a Contract’ and filling in the details. This is then sent to the administration team at Procurement Lincolnshire who proof reads the contract notice before it is published.
Features of Source Lincolnshire include:-
- Recurring contracts: This shows contracts that have already been awarded, but will be re-tendered again due to the recurring nature of the work. This is useful for suppliers as it gives them time to plan ahead and allows an estimated time when to look for a contract.
- Contract Awards: This section allows suppliers to find out who has won contracts which have previously been advertised on the website.
- Events: Here any upcoming events such as workshops, training sessions and meet the buyer seminars can be broadcast. As with contract notices anyone can add an event.
