Lincolnshire County Council

Lincolnshire County council is responsible for all the roads in Lincolnshire except the few miles of trunk roads including the new A46 dual carriageway and the A1. Lincolnshire County Council is responsible for the installation and maintenance of all cameras and signage relating to safety camera operations on the roads under its control.

Lincolnshire Police

Lincolnshire Police is responsible for the operation of the Partnership’s equipment. This includes fixed cameras, mobile cameras and speed survey equipment. The Central Ticket Office is responsible for viewing the films and sending out Notices of Intended Prosecution and the Conditional Offer of a Fixed Penalty.

Highways Agency

The Highways Agency is responsible for any trunk roads that run through Lincolnshire such as the A1. The Highways Agency is responsible for the installation and maintenance of all cameras and signage relating to safety camera operations on the roads under its control.

Lincolnshire Magistrates Service

The Lincolnshire Magistrates Service is responsible for accepting any payments in relation to speeding and red light violation fines and processing driving licences for endorsement. Lincolnshire Magistrates will also hear any cases where the motorist wishes to contest the allegation.

Crown Prosecution Service

The Crown Prosecution Service is responsible for organising and presenting any cases where an offender is to be prosecuted in a Court of Law.
