Education Training and Publicity (ETP)

The key to achieving sustained long-term casualty reduction depends on changing attitudes and behaviour and consequently we attach great importance to promoting road safety education.  LRSP therefore provides a variety of education initiatives that extend across the entire school curricula and beyond.

The range of education initiatives is based on a ‘Life Long Learning’ programme ranging from pre school children through to mature drivers. Our data lead approach, determines our priorities that ensure we focus on the most vulnerable and those at greatest risk.

  • Pre-School

Pre-School traffic education is considered an essential ingredient to the Partnership’s life long learning programme.

  • Key Stage 1-2 Traffic Education

Bike Wise, Linc Walking and the Walking bus have all been designed to help educate Key Stage 1-2.

  • Key Stage 4-5

Traffic education is delivered to 40% of all secondary schools and colleges with a target of 50% by 2007.
