Successful migration from the UKAS Standard ‘General Criteria of Competence for Calibration and Testing Laboratories’ to the British Standard BSEN ISO/IEC 17025:2000, ‘General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories’ was achieved in October 2001.
UKAS carry out thorough audits of both the quality system and the tests themselves on an annual basis to ensure a top quality, reliable service is always offered by Laboratory and Testing Services.
The remainder of the sections at Lincs Laboratory; Traffic Data Collection, Highway Condition Surveys and the Pavement, Geotechnical and Material Consultancies operate a Quality Management System in accordance with BS EN ISO 9001:2000, Quality Management Systems - Requirements.
