Lincoln Conservation Group carries out practical conservation work in and around Lincoln, helping to conserve the natural history and biodiversity of the area. They are affiliated to BTCV and undertake a variety of tasks including hedgelaying, woodland management, tree and shrub planting, pond restoration and grassland management.
The group produces two programmes each year which usually include workdays in the Limewoods area. Regular sites include Chambers Farm Wood, Fiskerton Fen, Scotgrove Wood, Snakeholme Pit and Goslings Corner Wood with work being carried out for a number of organisations including Forestry Commission, Butterfly Conservation and Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust. Workdays are also promoted in the Lincolnshire Limewoods “What’s On” programme.
