Where to go this weekend
The Limewoods area is wild and waiting to be explored. Discover ancient woodlands and the remains of an amazing concentration of medieval religious houses. Explore the quiet countryside of the Limewoods on the public rights of way network that criss-crosses the area. Visit nature reserves to experience the wildlife of the Limewoods or drop into a heritage centre for tea and cake, all served up with a generous helping of local history.

Several of the woodlands in the Limewoods are open to the public. These woodlands are owned and managed by the Forestry Commission and are designated as access land under the Countryside & Rights of Way Act (2000). More detailed guides are available for several of these woods and other places you are welcome to visit across the Lincolnshire Limewoods area. Each guide contains information on what makes the site special, access, public transport links and more, all helping to plan your visit to the Limewoods area.
