Gateways

A number of sites across the Limewoods have been developed as “gateways” where you can find out more about the natural and cultural heritage of this special area.

We have worked with site owners to develop on-site interpretation and information to tell specific stories about the heritage of the Limewoods. At some sites, we have also provided interactive equipment for visitors to use.  The three main gateway sites are Chambers Farm Wood, Rand Farm Park and Bardney Heritage Centre.

Through our “Village Gateways” project we are working with a number of villages to celebrate their position within the Lincolnshire Limewoods area. We are supporting the installation of new village signs at Minting, Gautby, Southrey, Stainfield and Apley and are providing information panels and noticeboards at Wragby, Fiskerton and Wickenby.
