Cycle facilities

The Lincolnshire Limewoods is an easy area to explore on two wheels.
Through the Limewoods Project, two cycle routes have been published, both starting from Bardney and making use of the Water Rail Way a mainly traffic-free route following the course of the River Witham from Lincoln to Boston. Both routes use quiet roads and offer a great way to explore more of the area in one day.
If you’d like to stop at any of the villages, woods or heritage sites we have provided a number of cycle racks so you can leave your bike securely while you explore the area on foot. Locations are listed on our interactive map so you can plan your visit in advance.
If you don’t have a bike but fancy exploring the area on two wheels, you can hire bikes at the Bardney Heritage Centre situated on the Water Rail Way.
