As part of the “Wildlife Corridors in the Lincolnshire Limewoods” project managed by Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust, research was carried out to make recommendations for new habitat creation and management based on the habitat requirements of target species, in order to maximise biodiversity in the present and “future-proof” the area as far as possible.

The report includes identification of three broad zones – woodland, farmland and wetland, along with a series of recommendations for habitat creation in each of the zones, for example if tree or woodland planting is proposed in the wetland zone, wet woodland species should be prioritised.
