The Government has launched a consultation on the natural environment, seekng views on “how best we can protect and enhance our natural environment, and the valuable services we derive from it”. The consultation will lead to a White Paper on the Natural Environment in Spring 2011.
The Limewoods area is a jewel in the Lincolnshire countryside, with over a quarter of the county’s ancient semi-natural woodland. The Bardney Limewoods National Nature Reserve is at the heart of the area, along with important meadows, species-rich hedgerows and road verges. Through the Limewoods Project we have worked on a landscape scale, linking together fragmented habitats and improving opportunities to access the area.
We all value our natural environment in different ways - if you’d like to comment on which parts of the natural environment matter most to you, and how they should be protected and enhanced, follow the link below.
