Management Guides

The Lincolnshire Limewoods Project has produced two new Management Guides aimed at woodland owners and managers.

The new guides follow on from workshops that were held earlier this year and cover two topics:

Management of New Woodlands - this guide provides an introduction to the management of newly-planted woodlands including how, why and when to carry out particular work.

Wildlife Management in Woodlands - this guide provides a brief introduction to wildlife management, with an emphasis on the potential damage caused by deer and grey squirrels, and outlines methods of prevention and control.

Each guide summarises information presented at the workshops and includes important points relating to conservation, legislation and good practice. Both contain links to further sources of information. The guides can be downloaded by following this link, or can be ordered from Lincolnshire County Council on 01522 782070
