Tupholme Abbey

As well as ancient woodlands, the remains of several medieval abbeys can be found in the Limewoods area. Other historic sites such as churches, and deserted medieval villages, together with a range of historic landscape features including moated sites and barrows, make the Limewoods area perfect for learning about our cultural heritage.

Tupholme Abbey has the most substantial abbey ruins in the Limewoods area. The site is owned and managed by Heritage Lincolnshire, who have developed a web-based Education Pack to help you learn more about the abbey and its past.
