Research

Being close to the city of Lincoln, the Limewoods area offers excellent research opportunities for students and professionals. A number of our partners can support research requests from under- and post-graduate students, as well as supporting longer term research projects. Previous / current projects include the small-leaved lime DNA project carried out by Lincoln University, a barbastelle bat project and the Lincolnshire Limewoods Dormouse project.

All research projects must be agreed with the landowner prior to commencing and permits / licences for certain activities may be required. If you are interested in researching any aspects of the Limewoods area, its ancient woodlands, medieval abbeys or other places of interest, please get in touch with an outline of your proposals and we will pass you on to the relevant organisation.
