Wragby Heritage Group
Wragby Heritage Group is a group of local people who have an interest in conserving and promoting the local heritage, memories and sites that have shaped Wragby as it is known today, and encouraging interest in it - particularly by Wragby residents.
In 2009 the group published a book, “Where Five Roads Meet”, charting the history of Wragby and the people who made it. Proceeds from sales of the book have been put towards the development of new village signs for each of the five roads leading into Wragby.
In 2010 the group researched the history of the moated site at the end of Cemetery Road, supported by the Limewoods Community Heritage Scheme. Part of the project involved erecting an information board detailing the history of the site which has proved very popular with locals and walkers.
The group is currently seeking funding for a project on the old cemetery, to improve access to and around the site so that people can appreciate the history and wildlife of the area. They are also hoping to find out more about a section of medieval wall recently discovered on the school playing fields
