Fire Protection for Business and Places of Assembly
Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue have a group of specialist officers working in the communities to assist businesses and people responsible for community and assembly buildings to secure a safe environment for people to sleep, work and resort to for entertainment. The group also enforces fire legislation in all commercial premises as far as it applies to general fire safety measures and inspects and licences petrol filling stations.
The group are keen to work closely with the community and work in small teams within each district council area. A limited service is also maintained 24 hours a day including weekends and bank holidays to deal with complaints or concerns about dangerous conditions within our counties commercial buildings.
The Safety at Sports Grounds Act 1975 and the Fire Safety and Safety at Places of Sport Act 1987
Legislation was introduced to control safety in the larger sports grounds.
