Lincolnshire Arson Task Force

The Task Force operates from Market Rasen Police and Fire Station. Steve Wright is the Fire & Rescue ATF Manager, Clive Currie is the Lincolnshire Police ATF Manager, Mary Davidson is the ATF administrator and researcher and Dave Allen is the Community Fire Safety Advocate attached to the ATF, to address anti-social behaviour.

The Problem

Arson is a problem that costs the country in excess of £50m a week. The Arson Task Force is trying to raise public awareness and put into place initiatives to reduce deliberate fires. The public seem unaware of the true level and cost to the community in both rural and urban areas.  An Arson attack not only costs money but can also present a high risk of injury or death to those involved either as the perpetrator or the victim. All of the Emergency Services attend and respond to this type of incident and we are working together to reduce the problem. It is vital we get the message across that for every deliberate fire set,` a life may be lost and it is also an added strain on already limited resources.

For more information on how we intend to reduce arson, see the links below.
