LFR managers to complete charity trek

After successfully completing last year’s Race the Sun, several Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue managers are have decided on their next charity trek – a 950 mile cycle from Lands End to John O’Groats.

Assistant Chief Fire Officer Dave Ramscar, Assistant Chief Mick Green, Deputy Divisional Commander Dave Hopkins and Development Crew Manager Gary Waite are already planning for the trip, which will take place over nine days in June.

All four team members will cycle every single mile of the route, staying together throughout and ensuring they finish simultaneously.

The team is seeking sponsorship for the event, hoping to raise a significant amount for the Fire Fighters Charity, the British Red Cross and St Barnabas Hospice.

They will be creating a Just Giving page to accept donations online, but in the meantime, if you would like to support their cycle with a donation, contact communications@lincoln.fire-uk.org.
