If you live in Skegness, why not join us and Fireman Sam on a charity walk through the town?
Children and their families are being invited to join their favourite fire-fighting ‘hero next door’ for a walk in aid of charity.
Fireman Sam will be taking to the streets of Skegness to raise money for his injured colleagues, who are looked after by the Fire Fighters Charity.
The much-loved TV icon will lead a group of fundraisers on a three-mile stroll around the seaside town, starting at Skegness Fire Station, Churchill Avenue, at 12noon on Saturday 4 May.
Those joining the walk will also be treated to a behind-the-scenes tour of Skegness Fire Station. It’s hoped the event will raise a big amount of money for the Fire Fighters Charity’s 70th year.
Registration is open from 10am until 11.45am at the fire station. Tickets are £3 for adults and £5 for children. The price includes bottles of water and a toy fire helmet for youngsters. All money raised will go to the Fire Fighters Charity.
For more information, or to secure your place on the walk in advance, contact Skegness Fire Station on 01754 898980. Lines are open Monday to Thursday, 8.30am to 5pm, and on Friday, 8.30am to 4.30pm.
