How to find out where to walk
Public rights of way and open access land are shown on ordnance survey maps. Probably the best ordnance survey map for walking is the Explorer series at a scale of 1:25000 (4cm to 1km or 2 ½ inches to 1 mile). These maps show enough detail to allow you to navigate accurately. They are available to purchase from most good book shops and outdoor shops or from the Ordnance Survey website.
