Equestrian

The County Council in partnership with the British Driving Society, the British Horse Society and other organisations has established a 69 mile trail across the Lincolnshire Wolds suitable for carriage drivers, horse riders, cyclists and walkers.

The trail, one of the first routes in the country suitable for carriage drivers, will extend from Willingham Woods in the north to Horncastle in the south. The British Driving Society, British Horse Society, East Lindsey District Council, Lindum Endurance Horse Society and Lincolnshire County Council have all contributed funding to the project.

Opening Ceremony

  • The trail will be formally opened on Saturday 16 June 11:00am
  • The ceremony will take place at Market Rasen Race Course.
  • The ceremony will be followed by a ride on the trail (those attending should bring their own transport (bike, horse or horse and carriage)

The trail is waymarked throughout its length with the trail logo (above right)
