What is P3?

Local communities work in partnership with the county council to improve and promote the rights of way network in their area. P3 groups are encouraged to take a proactive approach to keep their rights of way in good condition and easy to use.

Although P3 is a partnership the county council, as the Highway Authority, will remain ultimately responsible for maintenance and enforcement on all rights of way recorded on the Definitive Map.
