Could you be a Local Access Forum Member?
Do you enjoy visiting the countryside - are you concerned with rural issues?
Lincolnshire County Council is committed to improving public access to the countryside and runs two Local (Countryside) Access Forums to help plan and manage this important task.
The Forums consist of a wide range of people representing users of rights of way, farmers and landowners; and other interests such as tourism, health, nature conservation, transport, social exclusion and disability.
The two Local Access Forums cover Lincolnshire, North East Lincolnshire and Rutland. The Mid Lincolnshire is a joint forum between Lincolnshire County Council and North East Lincolnshire Council. The South Lincolnshire and Rutland LAF is a joint Forum between Lincolnshire County Council and Rutland County Council.
Forum members act in a voluntary capacity, with the appointing authority meeting travel expenses. The Forums meet approximately four times per year and there is an element of work “behind the scenes”, liaising and networking with others.
If you think that you could represent one or more of the areas of interest listed above, then we would like to hear from you. We will send you an information pack and details of how to apply.
