National CEIAG guidance

CEIAG delivery is a statutory requirement for Local Authorities and schools. When new government policy or consultation is announced we place it in this section. This makes it easily accessible for those in the Guidance Network. The older legislation goes back to 1973 so rather than put that on we have attached some links that will take you to those documents.

The statutory guidance on independent and impartial careers guidance for young people was published by the Department for Education on Monday 26th March.

You can view the guidance on the DfE website by following this link.

A pdf of the guidance is attached below.

In addition is a commentary explaining its implications written by Professor Tony Watts, who you will recall delivered the keynote address at December’s guidance conference.

There is also a summary by Careers England.
