Parentline Plus

Parentline Plus is a national charity and the UK's largest independent provider of parenting support. As well as a 24 hour helpline on 0808 800 2222, Parentline Plus is helping parents and carers in Lincolnshire tackle their family problems through its extended telephone support service (ETS). Any practitioner in Lincolnshire can refer parents for up to six 45-minute, intensive weekly sessions with a trained support worker to talk through parenting and family relationships, sources of support and help parents think of ways to improve their situation.
The calls are free, confidential and they work. In an independent evaluation, 3 out of 4 parents said their situation had improved as a result of ETS calls, both shortly after the sessions and a year later.
Calls can be about any parenting issue, from a child having problems sleeping through to aggressive behaviour or involvement in alcohol, drugs or gangs.
