Moving On (Train the Trainer Course)

Target Group

This one-day training course is for all professionals who work with teenage parents and parents-to-be.

Aim

To provide participants with the knowledge, skills and confidence to plan and deliver the Moving On course to teenage mums and dads and parents-to-be.

Objectives

To explore personal attitudes and values in relation to teenage parents

To investigate the impact of social media and technology on parenting

To understand the importance of confidentiality within a group

To write a lesson plan to meet the outcomes of the course

To understand registration, accreditation and verification processes

To effectively signpost young people to services that can support them to access education, employment and training opportunities

  • Moving On is a course for teenage mums and dads. The course is accredited through Open College Network at levels 2 and 3.
  • This course is aimed at young parents who are looking to move on in their lives and to help access opportunities in education, employment and training.
  • The course will help teenage parents identify opportunities and they will be supported with the preparation of a CV (Curriculum Vitae) to help with applications to college or job vacancies.
  • The Teenage Pregnancy Team will support with the delivery of the course by providing all learner packs and tutor notes
  • Support with accreditation and verification of files will be provided by the Lincolnshire County Council Accreditation Team
