This Charter outlines the principles of actively involving children and young people in the design, delivery and evaluation of services. It was endorsed by all members of the Children and Young People’s Strategic Partnership (CYPSP) in 2004, and by children and young people.

Principles of the Charter
- Children and young people are valued
- Children and young people have equal opportunity to be involved
- The involvement of children and young people is monitored, evaluated and improved
- The involvement of children and young people is a visible commitment that is properly resourced
