Children's Services Improvement Plan

The Children’s Services Improvement Plan is a live document which will be regularly reviewed and updated to accurately reflect service progress against recommendations and milestones.

The individual actions captured within the document will be a culmination of identifiedrecommendations from Ofsted Inspections, Sector Led Improvement Peer Challenge and Internal Quality Assurance. The plan will also include actions in relation to other pieces of work as determined by the Directorate Management Team (DMT).

Although the core responsibility for maintaining the plan lies with the Inspections Officer, to enable this to be done effectively, a strong level of engagement and on-going communication will be required from members within the Quality Team as well as Children Services professionals, who are identified as leads for individual work streams.

A clear overview of recommendations and how they will be achieved will need to be captured in order to both develop and measure progress.

To maintain management oversight the plan is the subject of quarterly update reports to DMT.
