Membership

The Children and Young People’s Voluntary Sector Forum (CYPVSF) are always looking to improve the effectiveness of the third sector in Lincolnshire in providing better outcomes for children, young people and their families.

The purpose of the Forum

• Be a positive forum for voluntary sector views
• To provide a platform for effective partnership working
• Influence and be pro-active in the development of services for children and young people
• Dissemination and exchange of information and views
• Offer opportunities for direct consultation within children and young people’s services
• Market a positive and professional image of the Voluntary Community Sector.

Governance

• Open to all Children’s Voluntary and Community Sector Organisations
• Not a ‘Corporate Body’
• Provides delegates from the sector within strategic networks

Expectations

• We aim to have meetings on a minimum of a quarterly basis
• All members contribute to a positive and supportive atmosphere
• Willingness to exchange, share and contribute to increase effectiveness of Forum
• Umbrella bodies to pass on information to their members
• Representation at strategic networks
• Arrange working groups as needs arise
• To maintain a minimum of 4 representatives from the Forum and the children and Young People’s Strategic Partnership
• At least 1 member of the Board/Executive of the CYPSP
• To consider geographical access for forum members
• Members are expected to keep themselves informed about current issues and policies at the forum and the strategic partnership and disseminate that information
