The map below provides detailed information on the walk route including the location of steps, stiles, gates, slopes and bridges, the type of ground and the location of bus stops and refreshment facilities. Click on the icon and it will tell you what is there, and in the case of bridges, stiles, steps and gates a photograph of the structure will appear. To return to the map from a photograph click the X in the bottom right hand corner. If you hover the cursor over the route at any point, a description of the type of ground will appear. Use the arrows to scroll around the map and the zoom to alter the scale.

If you cannot see the map download the flashplayer here.

These two walks are set in the attractive countryside between Thurlby and Bourne.  Walk one climbs out of the village to a local high point from where there are views across the Fens.  Walk two visits Bourne and the surrounding wooded countryside.

The walks are 3 1/3 or 8 km (2 or 5 miles) and will take approximately 1 or 2½ hours to complete.  Both walks may be uneven and muddy in places.

Why not take a copy of the activities and I spy sheets with you if you are walking with children.  There are questions to answer and things to look out for along the walk

A detailed walk leaflet with directions, map and points of interest is available to download as a PDF below or a paper copy is available from the Countryside Access Team on 01522 782070 or via the online form below.
